Website Upgrade
Jul 13th
As mentioned in a post I wrote earlier this month, Folaji.com was due for a few upgrades. I’m pleased to say that the upgrades to both the Blog and Forums were installed today, with no resulting issues (from what I can see).
That being said, if you see something funny or improper on the site, please let me know!
Back in Ottawa!
Jul 4th
We’ll we’ve been back in Ottawa since last Saturday, but with the trip just behind us and tired like hell, I decided not to have any DnD last week. I do not know if anybody is away on vacation this weekend, so I’ll be placing calls to you guys tomorrow, and if everybody is present and willing, then I don’t see why we can’t have a DnD session.
You’ll also notice that all Vikas Journal Entries have been published, and you can read through all of them by using the links below or by viewing the Vikas Journal Entries Series Page. This series of 7 pages taken from Vikas’ journal details how he became the owner of the Death Valley Inn, how he began working for the Soulhers, and how he and many of the farmers of Cory became undead creatures. Hope you enjoy!

And finally, a few notes about website updates. On the day before the day before we left on vacation (that’s not a typo) WordPress announced the release of WordPress 2.8. I will be looking at upgrading the blog to this new version in the following weeks, though I expect the site will pretty much remain the same (upgrades mostly have to do with the site administration). I may also have to upgrade the forum and run some tests on the different plugins, so expect a little site down-time and possibly some minor visual changes in the not to distant future.
Having Fun With Avatars
Jun 5th
You may have noticed some funny looking smileys by your comments lately, and I’ll admit that I’m responsible for their appearance…
I was pretty much tired of seeing the Gravatar logo appear besides all comments but my own, so I had a look at what Gravatar could do. Turns out that it can generate a unique looking avatar for users based on their email address, so I figured we’d try this for a while to see how it goes.
Note that, if you don’t like the smiley face generated for you, you can set your own gravatar by creating an account on the Gravatar Website and uploading your own picture. Be sure to use the same email address you’ve used to register with Folaji.com for you gravatar to work properly.
Here are some examples of auto generated avatars:
Folaji.com Turns 100!
Jun 3rd
I just realized that, exactly 310 days after the first ever post on Folaji.com, we’ve just reached the magic number of 100 total posts!
So, with celebration in mind, here is some cake and some stats:
- We’ve had one post every 3.1 days
- Thats approximately 0.322 posts per day
- There is approximately 1 comment per 2 posts
- There are approximately 3 tags per post
- There are approximately 12 posts per category
Our next milestone is the site’s birthday, which is July 28th!
