We left the Rat King’s “Throne Room”  and returned to the hub to get our reward, which consisted of gold and a map, from the first were-rat.  Ezmereth, greedy bastard that he is, asked for more and antagonized the were-rat to the point that he used his flute to summon some rats to attack us. We defeated him easily, got his magic flute, and raided his treasure room. By playing the magic flute, the owner can summon an army of rats which he can control. The flute also provide immunity against filth fever. Unsurprisingly, the treasure room didn’t contain much. The best item we found was a ‘Restful Bedroll’ soiled in rat urine. A benefit at best.

While our main quest was to find the stolen page for professor Edfilus, we had done quite a few favors for quite a few people. We decided it was time to collect.  We returned to the ghost of Terrius with proof that we had stopped the Kobold Shaman. The ghost disappeared and his chest open. We found some money and a CLEAN ‘Restful Bedroll’.

Next, we returned to CandleKeep. There, we found Terrius’ widow and informed her of the fate of her husband. We collected the bounty on Axiom Menetis and returned the ring to Orfunix. We reported our discovery of the sunken Temple to professor Edfilus who was less than impressed. Ezmereth’s been banned form the library due to his shenanigans, and it’s possible the rest of us are as well. It’s unclear.

The next step was to explore the Temple. The only entrance we knew off was through a storage cellar hidden away in a corner of the aqueduct system; so that was our destination. Tired from all the traveling we did today we decided to grab a few ours sleep(extended rest) in the safe room near the cellar.
