I just want to take a breather and apologize for the lack of posts.  Its crunch time at work right now, and though they don’t make us work 12 hours per day, we’ve been working a lot.

Come Christmas vacation, however, I should be free! :D

New Short Story: Halloween in Montreal

Eight days ago (almost to the minute) I was standing in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce park with my dog Koji, watching a handful of disguised children zigzag through the streets in search of candy.  The wind then picked up and yellow leaves circled around both of us for several minutes.  I was inspired, and quickly began piecing together a story about a disgruntled guy who’d just moved to Montreal and who, for the first time in his life, was spending Halloween night alone in his small appartment.

The result of that moment of inspiration is the short story Halloween in Montreal, the first non-fantasy story to be published on Folaji.com.  The short story consists of four parts that will be published over the coming week, and tonight I am proud to present you with part 1 of the story.
